Day 1: Phnom Penh Arrival – City Tour
Welcome to Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s vibrant and bustling capital city. Despite its recent turbulent history, Phnom Penh’s wide tree-lined boulevards and faded colonial mansions hold an undeniable charm. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant then set out on a city tour to acquaint yourself with Phnom Penh’s major sites. Start your visit learning about the Khmer Rouge and Cambodia’s recent history on a guided tour of the TuolSleng Genocide Museum. Our cultural exploration continues as we visit the National Museum, an excellent introduction into ancient Khmer art and civilization, and the Royal Palace, home to the royal family and the opulent silver pagoda. Enjoy some free time to rest and freshen up before driving to the dock to catch an evening boat cruise along the Mekong River. Savor a welcome dinner on board as you watch the sunset over the shimmering lights of Phnom Penh. Meals: Dinner Accommodation: Hotel in Phnom Penh
Day 2: Phnom Penh – Drive to Siem Reap – Floating Village - Sunset

Stop along the way and visit a market, where every assortment of street food is available, including the Khmer favorite: fried spiders! Once you arrive in Siem Reap, head out of town and embark on a short cruise along Tonle Sap Lake to visit the local floating villages. The experience is wonderful as we pass by floating villages, friendly children in small boats and fishermen at work. Enjoy sunset on the lake or in the rice field, your choice. Day 3: Siem Reap - Angkor Wat – Angkor Thom
Enjoy an entire day devoted to the mystical and ancient Angkor Temples. After an early breakfast at the hotel, set out to Angkor Thom’s imposing South Gate, topped with the four serenely smiling faces of Avalokiteshvara. Next, visit Bayon Temple, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Leaving Angkor Thom by the North Gate, travel to Preah Khan (Sacred Sword), one of Angkor’s largest temples, constructed in the 12th century by Jayavarman VII. After a delicious lunch of traditional Khmer food, head to the mystical, jungle-entwined Ta Prohm Temple and then on to the most famous Khmer temple: Angkor Wat. Constructed as a Hindu monument, later dedicated to Buddha, Angkor Wat is the largest temple and finest example of Angkorian art and architect. On the way back to town, you have one more opportunity to watch the sunset in Pre Rup, which is considered a mini Angkor Wat. In the evening, enjoy the dinner and Apsara Dance Performance at Kulen II restaurant.
